Welcome to Arlington Elementary School. I am looking forward to teaching your amazing kiddos this year!
My name is Christina Pfeifer and I will be teaching Reading Resource and Math for grades Kindergarten through Second Grade. This is my Sixteenth year teaching Special Education at Arlington Elementary. I believe in challenging all students despite their learning differences, while providing them with the supports they need to thrive.
I began this journey in High School volunteering with children with disabilities. In college I began implementing discrete trial and Applied Behavior Analysis in the home for children with autism. These experiences shaped the teacher I am today. Being an integral part of the lives of ALL children and their education continues to be my passion.
I have three amazing children of my own. Tristan is beginning a new chapter in her life and will be attending University of Memphis wanting to major in nursing. My son Matthew will be in tenth grade this year and is interested in computer programming. My youngest daughter Taylor with be in the 7th grade at Arlington Middle School.
I have the pleasure of introducing Kayla Chapman the trained paraprofessional that will be working with me again this year. I have been blessed to work with Kayla since I started teaching here at AES. She is a wonderful asset to the Special Education Department here at Arlington. She has a daughter Kaitlynn who is a radiology technician at Methodist University and her son Lane works for Fed Ex.
We are both excited about sharing in your children's educations and being a part of their lives! We look forward to the rewards we will witness working with these amazing and unique kiddos.
